The applicant would see the advertisement posted on a board or in a newspaper, create a resume specifically for that position and then deliver it in person, or in the mail. Now, job hunts are primarily online. From the cheap alternative of posting positions on Craigslist, to advertising the role through Linked In, the internet is the perfect place to find a career. Advertising a position reaches a larger audience, and more viewers mean more applications and a larger pool of potential employees for you to choose from. However, there is a downside too. SEW Grows To 10,000 Members – 2018 And Beyond!

The popular Facebook group Singapore Expat Women or SEW as it’s passionately referred to by its members has now reached a milestone of over 10,000 members. It’s sister Classifieds Page (of same name) has over 7,000 members. I designed this community to help both existing and (especially) new members with everything from day-to-day questions, advice and cross-pollination of business ideas and support. The internet can be a mean place sometimes and I know for a fact that it’s not easy for newcomers to Singapore to get the help and information they need for a successful transition. But now they can.
