The popular Facebook group Singapore Expat Women or SEW as it’s passionately referred to by its members has now reached a milestone of over 10,000 members. It’s sister Classifieds Page (of same name) has over 7,000 members.

I designed this community to help both existing and (especially) new members with everything from day-to-day questions, advice and cross-pollination of business ideas and support. The internet can be a mean place sometimes and I know for a fact that it’s not easy for newcomers to Singapore to get the help and information they need for a successful transition. But now they can.

We pledge to keep this community free of criticism, cattiness and overall negativity. We invite positivity, encouragement and good vibes. Let’s use this community to welcome new members and to constantly help each other with whatever we need. Life is tough enough as it is… surely sharing information and getting advice shouldn’t have to be.

We are planning on having more events in 2018. One thing you have all written in to request is to bring our popular events back.

‘Coffee In The Clouds’ and Cocktails In The Clouds’ has amassed a cult following and we will be bring those events back in full force. We are also planning on running a workshop series on various topics – any feedback welcome! Oh, we have also created some new events which you will hear about soon.

We want to bring our virtual engagement & relationships into the real world.

We are also working on exciting new concepts for members to promote their businesses to a much wider community through strategic partnerships with like-minded platforms.

That said, it’s been a pleasure growing this community with you all and I look forward to welcoming the next 10,000 members.

Good vibes always!

Amanda Dyer
